Job Description

Great Basin Community College is recruiting for an Administrate Assistant 3 to provide support to the Foundation Director.

The incumbent will create various reports; assist with preparation of press releases, newsletters, and flyers; create presentations; participate in creating the Alumni Association; process all donor and alumni checks; review and monitor Foundation accounts; prepare donor and recipient correspondence and assemble scholarship agreements; set-up events; maintain and update scholarship records and agreements; manage the donor database; and other duties as assigned.

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.

This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Experience Requirements:

- This position requires experience with accounting and/or bookkeeping

- This position requires traveling up to 10% of the time.

- This position requires having a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.

- This position requires experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point in a professional setting.
