Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a full-time, Administrative Faculty position as a Coordinator, Evaluation & Research (Child Welfare) in the School of Social Work. The Coordinator, Evaluation & Research will lead in the evaluation design, implementation, and reporting of Social Work education and training grant projects and programs. The position reports to the Principle Investigators and/or project coordinators. The statewide collaboration between University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), School of Social Work and the State of Nevada Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is critically important in helping Nevada’s child welfare agencies meet their workforce development needs.
Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with project personnel in the administrative reporting process to meet project requirements
• Preform and/or oversee data collection, entry, analysis, and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data
• Prepare and disseminate project reports and project findings based on these findings
• Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel in designated projects
• Coordinate all activities/strategies utilized in the evaluation of designated projects according to the scope of work, timelines, and budget developed for each project

• Collaborate with team members in the development of evaluation tools /strategies
• Assist in researching potential funding opportunities
• Provide input in the development of grant and other funding proposals

Highly Qualified Applicants will have:
Knowledge of: Child welfare practices and policies
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities; team coordination; time management; interpersonal and human relations; and proficiency with use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Ability to: Work and interact with urban and rural child welfare staff; work as a team with fellow staff members and outside agency; provide and receive feedback; maintain professional business and ethical standards; travel as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of relevant work experience or a Master’s Degree and one year of relevant work experience.

Relevant Experience: Evaluation in Social Work or generalized social sciences setting

Minimal travel required

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor or Master Degree in Social Work.
