Job Description

The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Management for an appointment beginning 7/1/18. Primary teaching responsibilities for this position will likely be doctoral seminar classes in statistics and research methods, along with undergraduate or graduate courses in OB, HR, international management, or advanced management topics based upon department needs and the faculty member’s strengths. Management faculty members are expected to actively engage in high quality research.

The Management area consist of thirteen full-time members. Our faculty conduct high quality research and publish in Management’s best journals. Management faculty also actively participate in the MBA and online eMBA programs and take pride in being excellent in the classroom. The Management department intends to begin offering classes for a new Ph. D. degree in the fall of 2018.

Required Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Management or closely related field from AACSB accredited institution is required by the time of appointment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who possess strong interpersonal skills and relevant work experience.
