Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno Student Health Center is currently seeking a full-time or part-time psychiatrist whose primary responsibilities would be to provide direct patient care, consultations with other providers (psychiatrists, therapists, primary care physicians, and mid-level medical practitioners) and referrals. Other job responsibilities associated with this position include; patient examination and evaluation, diagnosing and treatment of psychiatric illnesses, medication management and follow up care, resident physician supervision, attendance at staff meetings, emergency phone consultation and in-house educational activities.

Required Qualifications

MD/DO or equivalent from an accredited institution and completion of residency in psychiatry.

Preferred Qualifications

One year experience in an outpatient clinic or comparable health care delivery environment.
