Job Description

The College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources and the Nevada Agricultural Experiment Station are seeking a ranch/farm hand at our Main Station Field Lab. The student must be a motivated self-starter with initiative, have the ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.

Duties include, but not limited to:
Wheel-line irrigation, animal husbandry, machinery operation, mending fences, haying and assisting with research projects.

Required Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated leadership, strong work ethic; must be a UNR student; must maintain a 2.0 GPA; Must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the agricultural sector is preferred, but not required.
